Laser Induced Nano and Micro Structures of Molybdenum Surface Applied in Multistage Depressed Collector for Secondary Electron Suppression

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
The laser processing molybdenum metal surface method was first proposed to enhance the efficiency of multistage depressed collectors (MDCs). In this study, the secondary electron yield (SEY), surface geometrical morphologies and chemical states of laser ...

Secondary electron emission from insulators and negative electron affinity semiconductors

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
Based on expression of primary range R and the R at Epo ≥ 10.0 keV and L at Epo ≥ 1.0 keV calculated by ESTAR program [1], the method of obtaining formula for R at Epo ≥ 1.0 keV is presented; where Epo is incident energy of primary electron, and L is the

Improvement of Transmission Secondary Electron Yield

open access: yesThe Journal of the Institute of Television Engineers of Japan, 1972

Numerical simulation of the generation of secondary electrons in the High Current Experiment

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2003
Electron effects in the High Current Experiment (HCX) are studied via computer simulation. An approximate expression for the secondary electron yield for a potassium ion striking stainless steel is derived and compared with experimental results.
