Going beyond Secrecy Rate via Information Jamming

2018 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), 2018
Cooperative jamming approach has been commonly used in the field of physical layer security to achieve a good secrecy rate of wireless networks. In this approach, the Gaussian noise signal sent by a friendly jammer can disrupt the reception of the eavesdropper, however, it may also interfere with the legitimate receiver.

Efficient Algorithm for Selecting Secrecy Rate Maximizing Antennas

IEEE Communications Letters, 2013
Antenna selection (AS) is poised to provide solutions to hardware complexity issues while guaranteeing untappable information flow. We investigate the AS problem set up in the context of linear precoder design for secrecy rate maximization of a multiple-input single-output system. The original problem is both non-tractable and nonconvex.

Secrecy Rate of MISO Optical Wireless Scattering Communications

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2018
We consider the secrecy rate for the multiple-input single-output optical wireless scattering communication, where the detected signal can be characterized by discrete photoelectrons. Assuming a legitimate receiver and an eavesdropper, we propose two secure communication protocols, the non-jamming protocol, and the cooperative jamming protocol, where ...

Improved Wireless Secrecy Rate Using Distributed Auction Theory

2009 Fifth International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks, 2009
Physical layer security is an emerging security area that explores possibilities of achieving perfect secrecy data transmission between the intended network nodes, while possible malicious nodes that eavesdrop the communication obtain zero information.

Rate regions and secrecy rate regions of cooperative relay networks

2013 47th Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems (CISS), 2013
This paper studies the transmission rates and physical layer security of cooperative relay networks. For any relay network, there are natural information theoretic cut-set bounds, which upper bound the transmission rates. We further tighten the outer bounds on rate regions.

Secrecy Rate Beamforming for Multi-Cell SWIPT Networks

2016 IEEE Globecom Workshops (GC Wkshps), 2016
Considering a multicell network for secure wireless information and power transfer, this paper studies the joint design of transmit beamformers at the base stations (BSs) and receive signal splitting ratios at the end users' equipment (UEs). The primary concern in this work is the network internal security, where there may be a single multi-antenna ...

The achievable secrecy rate of MISO wiretap channels

2011 International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP), 2011
In this paper, we study the achievable secrecy rate of the multiple input single output (MISO) wiretap channel, which consists of a transmitter, a legitimate receiver and multiple eavesdroppers. The transmitter is equipped with multiple antennas, while the receiver and all the eavesdroppers each have a single antenna. We assume that the transmitter has
