‘They Should Understand That the Anorexia Drives me to do Anything’: Exploring How Individuals With Anorexia Nervosa Make Sense of the Experience of Medical Admissions

open access: yesEuropean Eating Disorders Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Anorexia nervosa (AN) is a complex disorder associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Some people with AN require medical admissions to manage physical complications. Currently, little is known about how these medical admissions are experienced, despite an increase in the number of individuals being hospitalised.

The Seepage Characteristics of Single Rough Joint of Granite Based on NMR Technology: A Modified Cubic Law

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
The low‐field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements are applied to investigate the seepage characteristics of the single rough joint. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the seepage characteristics of granite specimens with single‐joint channel under the different roughness, confining pressures and seepage pressures.

Techno‐Economic Analysis and Multi‐Objective Optimization of a Novel Combined Cooling and Power System Driven by Geothermal Source and Waste Heat From Data Center

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
A novel combined cooling and power generation system is proposed by integrating organic Rankine cycle (ORC) with an absorption heat transformer, which is driven by combining geothermal energy and data center's waste heat. The system using R601a yielded the best overall performance, achieving an exergy efficiency of 40.34% and an annual cost of 130.29 k$

Numerical Investigation of Methane Transport Within and Around Evolving Cracks

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
A validated model shows that natural gas leakage induces soil deformation and forms three key cracks. When diffusion is low, methane moves mainly along the primary crack, demonstrating how natural fractures reshape pathways and significantly enhance methane migration.
