Population aging and economic growth: evidence from ASEAN countries

open access: yesCogent Business & Management
Numerous recent empirical studies underscore the adverse impacts of an aging population on economic growth. This could stem from reduced labor force participation and productivity among older workers, or the potential for aging to result in an imbalance ...

The role of dopants in mitigating the chemo‐mechanical degradation of Ni‐rich cathode: A critical review

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Factors that contribute to chemo‐mechanical degradation in Ni‐rich cathode have been identified as phase transformation, cation mixing, transition metal dissolution, surface reconstruction, crack formation, and oxygen evolution. These degradation factors could be mitigated via elemental substitution.

The end of urban sprawl? Internal migration across the rural‐urban continuum in Switzerland, 1966−2018

open access: yesPopulation, Space and Place, Volume 29, Issue 1, January 2023., 2023
Abstract In high‐income countries, migration redistributed populations from congested city centres into the sparsely populated outskirts, raising challenges to environmental and population health and the conservation of biodiversity. We evaluate whether this periurbanisation process came to a halt in Switzerland by expecting a decline in internal ...

Evolving stillbirth rates among Black and White women in the United States, 1980–2020: A population-based studyResearch in context

open access: yesThe Lancet Regional Health. Americas, 2022
Summary: Background: Given slowing secular declines and persistent racial disparities, stillbirth remains a major health burden in the US. We investigate changes in stillbirth rates overall and for Black and White women, and determine how maternal age ...

Inequality, household debt, ageing and bubbles: A model of demand-side Secular Stagnation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The mainstream concept of Secular Stagnation provides a comprehensive theoretical picture to explain sluggish economic growth and engenders a renewed role for fiscal policy. For these reasons, it should be praised.

Numerical Investigation of Nonisothermal Reversed Stagnation-point Flow [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
This thesis investigates the nature of the development of two-dimensional laminar nonisothermal flow of an incompressible fluid close to the reversed stagnation-point. Proudman and Johnson (1962) \cite{proudman1962boundary} first studied the flow and obtained an asymptotic solution by neglecting the viscous terms. This is not practice in neglecting the

Contactless Conductivity Detection for Capillary Electrophoresis—Developments From 2020 to 2024

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The review covering the development of capillary electrophoresis with capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection from 2020 to 2024 is the latest in a series going back to 2004. The article considers applications employing conventional capillaries and planar lab‐on‐chip devices as well as fundamental and technical developments of ...
