Cytotoxic and Antileishmanial Potential of Pilocarpus microphyllus Essential Oil: In Vitro and In Silico Study

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 1, January 2026.
Jaborandi (Pilocarpus microphyllus) essential oil is obtained by removal and characterization using GC‐MS, revealing γ‐cadinene and trans‐caryophyllene as major constituents. The oil exhibits biological activity, with antifungal action against Candida spp.

Ultrafast Kerr Spectroscopy Reveals Bulk‐Like Solvent Dynamics in Concentrated LiTFSI–Acetonitrile Electrolytes

open access: yesChemPlusChem, Volume 91, Issue 1, January 2026.
Ultrafast OHD‐OKE spectroscopy is used to directly probe the intermolecular and solvation‐shell dynamics of LiTFSI–acetonitrile electrolytes. Despite strong ion–solvent interactions at high salt concentrations, the measurements reveal a persistent population of highly dynamic, bulk‐like ACN molecules, together with distinct slower components arising ...

Thermophilization over space but not time among communities of ground‐dwelling arthropods in a desert city

open access: yesEcology, Volume 107, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Thermophilization of communities, or shifts in composition favoring more warm‐adapted species, over time and space is a common response to warming from global climate change and localized effects of land‐use change. However, the interplay between community thermophilization driven by temporal warming in global climate and spatial warming in ...

Exploring Loneliness in Clinical and Sub‐Clinical Eating Disorders: A Systematic Review

open access: yesEuropean Eating Disorders Review, Volume 34, Issue 1, Page 213-228, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective This review systematically examines the role of loneliness in clinical and subclinical Eating Disorders (ED), assessing its impact on symptom severity and exploring underlying mechanisms across different populations. Method Following PRISMA guidelines and registered with PROSPERO (CRD42024565108), a comprehensive search was conducted

Modelling Stream Temperature in Subtropical Headwaters: Performance of Empirical Air‐Stream Relationships in Southern Brazil

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 1, January 2026.
Stream temperature variability was assessed in subtropical Brazilian headwaters using linear and nonlinear air–water models. Backward moving average regressions captured delayed thermal responses driven by water's thermal inertia, with intra‐daily fluctuations typically below 1°C.
