Identification of charge carriers and quantification of diffusion coefficients in the energy landscape of S53P4 bioglass

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 109, Issue 1, January 2026.
Dedicated ion transport experiments reveal the relevant mobile cations in the bioglass S53P4. Na+ is the only mobile charge carrier under ion‐exchange conditions at moderate electric fields. Ca++ becomes mobile under electro‐poling conditions associated with large electric fields.

Chrysoporthe cubensis‐Induced Wilting in Eucalypt Mini‐Stumps: In Vitro Fungus and Disease Development

open access: yesJournal of Phytopathology, Volume 174, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT Chrysoporthe cubensis was reported to cause wilting that later progressed to dieback and death in eucalypt mini‐stumps. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of various factors on the in vitro development of C. cubensis and to reproduce the wilting symptoms in eucalypt following artificial inoculation. Conidial production by C.

Increasing Rumen Microbial Diversity in Goats Favours the Adaptation to High‐Concentrate Diets With Minor Effects on Feed Utilization

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, Volume 110, Issue 1, Page 148-168, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Evolution has enabled ruminants to develop a complex rumen microbiota that aids in the digestion of fibrous feeds. This study examines whether promoting a highly diverse rumen microbiota during early life continues to offer long‐term benefits in modern dairy production systems, where young ruminants are reared without exposure to adult ...

Erythemal UV radiation exposure during jogging

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, Volume 102, Issue 1, Page 57-66, January/February 2026.
Jogging is one of the most popular recreational sport activities and is done in almost all ages to keep fitness and health. However, little research has been undertaken so far to estimate UVR exposure during jogging. Therefore, we equipped a volunteer with 12 UVR meters across the body on sun‐exposed sites.
