Chia (Salvia hispanica L.) Seed Oil Supplementation to the Diet: Effects on in Vitro Rumen Fermentation Characteristics and Lipid Biohydrogenation

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 4, July 2025.
The effects of chia seed oil supplementation on the diet of 10, 20 and 30 g/kg levels. The ruminal total CLA and trans‐11 C18:1 fatty acid increased and C18:3 n‐3 biohydrogenation decreased linearly. Supplementing chia seed oil can be useful for increasing CLA, vaccenic acid and n‐3 PUFA potentially beneficial to human health .

Clinical Features of Seven COL2A1 Variations in Chinese Children With Type II Collagen Disorders

open access: yesActa Paediatrica, Volume 114, Issue 7, Page 1720-1730, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim Type II collagen, encoded by the collagen type II alpha 1 (COL2A1) gene, is crucial for the structure of cartilage. This study aims to improve our understanding of Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Congenita (SEDC) caused by mutations in COL2A1. We also aim to evaluate the safety and efficacy of growth hormone (GH) therapy in two SEDC patients.

Fatigue Prediction of 50% Short Fiber‐Reinforced Polyphthalamide Using Equivalent Stress Criteria and Critical Distance Methods

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, Volume 48, Issue 7, Page 2949-2964, July 2025.
Abstract Accurately predicting the fatigue lifetime of short fiber‐reinforced polymers (SFRPs) remains a significant challenge in the automotive industry, especially in the presence of sharp geometric discontinuities. This study presents a practical approach for estimating the fatigue life of injection‐molded notched SFRP specimens, considering ...

Effect of Pest Control Strategies on Arthropod Pests of Apple in Europe: A Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Applied Entomology, Volume 149, Issue 6, Page 957-987, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) is a major fruit crop in Europe. More than 200 phytophagous arthropod species thrive in European apple orchards, several of which are economically important pests. Due to the pest pressure on apple production, consumer demand for residue‐free products and current policies to make food production in the European ...
