Meningovascular Inflammation in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy‐Related Cortical Superficial Siderosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The role of inflammation in cortical superficial siderosis (cSS), a marker of cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) linked to high hemorrhage risk, is unclear. We examined 15 patients with cSS using 3 T post‐contrast vessel wall MRI (VWI) and CSF analysis.

Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary Habitat Mapping: Survey report and classification of side scan sonar data from surveys HMPR-114-2004-02 and HMPR-116-2005-01. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary (OCNMS) continues to invest significant resources into seafloor mapping activities along Washington’s outer coast (Intelmann and Cochrane 2006; Intelmann et al. 2006; Intelmann 2006).

Reduction in Renal Relapse and Preservation of Long‐Term Kidney Function After Lupus Low Disease Activity in Patients With Lupus Nephritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Lupus low disease activity state (LLDAS) is a validated treatment target in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), but limited studies have explored the role of LLDAS in lupus nephritis (LN). This study aims to investigate the frequency and predictors of LLDAS attainment and its benefit on LN relapse and renal function preservation in patients ...

Identifying the Vertical Stratification of Sediment Samples by Visible and Near-Infrared Spectroscopy

open access: yesSensors
Vertical stratification in marine sediment profiles indicates physical and chemical sedimentary processes and, thus, is the first step in sedimentary research and in studying their relationship with global climate change.

Heterogeneity of Rheumatoid Arthritis–Associated Interstitial Lung Disease by Longitudinal Forced Vital Capacity Trajectory and Associations With Disease Outcomes

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to identify unique disease trajectories within rheumatoid arthritis–associated interstitial lung disease (RA‐ILD) based on longitudinal forced vital capacity (FVC) values and their associated clinical outcomes. Methods We performed a cohort study of RA‐ILD within the Veterans Health Administration from 1999 to 2021.

Marine sediment classification using the chirp sonar

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1992
The chirp sonar is a calibrated wideband digital FM sonar that provides quantitative, high-resolution, low-noise subbottom data. In addition, it generates an acoustic pulse with special frequency domain weighting that provides nearly constant resolution with depth.

Long‐Term Opioids in Gout: A Matched Cohort Study From the Veterans Health Administration

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Though used frequently to treat flare, risk of long‐term opioid exposure in gout has not been well defined. In this study, we examined the hypothesis that people with gout are more likely than individuals without gout to be prescribed long‐term opioids over time.

Erosion index formulation with respect to reservoir life in the upper Citarum watershed

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
This study aimed to formulate erosion index in the upper Citarum watershed with respect to the Saguling reservoir life. Soil and Water Assessment Tool model was incorporated to simulate hydrological processes in the catchment.
