ASTROCHRONOLOGICAL CALIBRATION OF THE UPPER SERRAVALLIAN/LOWER TORTONIAN SEDIMENTARY SEQUENCE AT TREMITI ISLANDS(ADRIATIC SEA, SOUTHERN ITALY)

open access: yesRivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia, 2002
A high resolution cyclostratigraphic study was carried out on a cyclicaly bedded succession of late Middle Miocene deep marine deposits from the Tremiti Islands, Adriatic sea (Italy).

South Asian monsoon history over the past 60 kyr recorded by radiogenic isotopes and clay mineral assemblages in the Andaman Sea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The Late Quaternary variability of the South Asian (or Indian) monsoon has been linked with glacial‐interglacial and millennial scale climatic changes but past rainfall intensity in the river catchments draining into the Andaman Sea remains poorly ...

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Late Maastrichtian carbon isotope stratigraphy and cyclostratigraphy of the Newfoundland Margin (Site U1403, IODP Expedition 342) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Earth’s climate during the Maastrichtian (latest Cretaceous) was punctuated by brief warming and cooling episodes, accompanied by perturbations of the global carbon cycle.

Bias‐Free Highly Efficient and Stable Dye‐Sensitized Photoelectrochemical Cells via Cascade Charge Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A buried‐junction DSPEC design is introduced that leverages cascade charge transfer to enhance efficiency, stability, and versatility. This approach facilitates effective charge transfer and minimizes recombination losses, leading to significant improvements.

Main controlling factors and distribution of high-quality deep dolomite reservoirs in typical cratonic basins in China

open access: yesJournal of Natural Gas Geoscience, 2018
Deep dolomite in cratonic basins is an essential target for future natural gas exploration in China. Statistical analyses of major cratonic basins in China, such as the Sichuan, Tarim, and Ordos basins, indicate that the major types of deep dolomite ...

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Lithofacies types, sedimentary cycles, and facies models of saline lacustrine hybrid sedimentary rocks: A case study of Neogene in Fengxi area, Qaidam Basin, NW China

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development
The saline lacustrine hybrid sedimentary rocks are complex in lithology and unknown for their sedimentary mechanisms. The hybrid sedimentary rocks samples from the Neogene upper Ganchaigou Formation to lower Youshashan Formation (N1–N21) in the Fengxi ...

Precambrian tidal sedimentary cycles and Earth's paleorotation

open access: yesEos, Transactions American Geophysical Union, 1989
Paleotidal cycles ranging from semidiurnal to the lunar nodal cycle apparently are recorded by late Precambrian (∼650 Ma) rhythmically laminated sedimentary rocks (rhythmites) of postulated ebb‐tidal origin in South Australia. The rhythmites may provide unique information on paleotidal periods and Earth's paleorotation: the late Precambrian year ...

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.
