X‐Functionality–Driven Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution in 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report a water‐based synthesis of 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 perovskite microcrystals with prominent photocatalytic (PC) activity for H2 production. The synergy between organic functionalization and HI‐derived iodide scavenges holes suppress octahedral distortion, and favor electron accumulation, enabling a PC H2 evolution ∼20 µmol·g−1 and long‐term stability ...

Study on the sedimentary characteristics of braided fluvial fanTaking the Shan-2 Member of the Shanxi Formation with XQ gas storage in the Ordos Basin as an example

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science
As a typical tight sandstone gas reservoir in the Ordos Basin, the second member of the Shanxi Formation in the XQ gas field in the Ordos Basin has had rich gas reservoirs and good development effects in the past.

Near‐Infrared Light‐Driven Zn/Au Janus Micromotors for Multiplex SERS Detection of Anticancer Drugs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Zn/Au Janus micromotors, propelled by thermophoretic effects under NIR light, function as active SERS platforms for single and multiplex detection of anticancer drugs. Their dynamic motion enhances analyte exchange at the Au interface, reducing saturation and competitive adsorption, thereby improving sensitivity and extending the linear detection range.

Sedimentary facies and unconformity analysis of some Paleocene-Eocene sections, Marlborough and Campbell Island, New Zealand

open access: yes, 2010
Throughout the Late Cretaceous to Eocene, sedimentation in gradually subsiding basins on the passive eastern margin of the micro-continent of Zealandia recorded climatic and paleoceanographic changes in a greenhouse world.

Tuning Separator Chemistry: Improving Zn Anode Compatibility via Functionalized Chitin Nanofibers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanochitin derived from waste shrimp shells is used to fabricate separators for aqueous zinc batteries. By tuning the density of amine and carboxylic surface groups, water mobility at the separator interface is controlled, promoting uniform zinc deposition, suppressing dendrite growth, and enabling exceptional cycling stability exceeding 2000 h ...

Effects of the Sedimentary Environment on Organic-Rich Shale in the Intracratonic Sag of the Sichuan Basin, China

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The enrichment of organic matter in high-quality marine shale is generally controlled by factors such as the redox conditions of sedimentary environments, productivity levels, terrigenous input, and ancient productivity.

Graded‐Interface Dual‐Environment Hydrogel‐Polymer Electrolyte for Stabilized Anode and Sustained Cathode Kinetics in Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A graded‐interface hydrogel‐polymer electrolyte decouples water activity to simultaneously stabilize the Zn anode and sustain cathode kinetics. The flexible design supports dendrite‐free cycling over 1600 h, high capacity in both MnO2 and V2O5 full cells, and stable pouch‐cell performance under bending, resolving the fundamental water conflict in ...

Sequence of infilling events in Gale crater, Mars: Results from morphology, stratigraphy, and mineralogy

open access: yes, 2013
Gale Crater is filled by sedimentary deposits including a mound of layered deposits, Aeolis Mons. Using orbital data, we mapped the crater infillings and measured their geometry to determine their origin.
