Polygonal tepee structures of Arabia
Tepee structures on Sheybarah Island form polygonal microbial cemented crusts in the intertidal. Radiocarbon dating suggests they formed in the Holocene and reflect minor sea‐level changes, highlighting their value as palaeoenvironmental indicators. Satellite surveys identified 126 polygonal features, including coral reefs that may have developed on ...

Sedimentary facies, depositional environments and palaeogeographic
The Denizli Basin (southwestern Anatolia, Turkey) contains a record of environmental changes dating since the Early Miocene. Detailed facies analysis of the Neogene formations in this half-graben enables us to document successive depositional regimes and palaeogeographic settings.

The lacustrine Gördes Supradetachment Basin was developed along the Simav detachment fault during postorogenic extension in the north of the Menderes Massif in western Anatolia. The basin‐fill succession is represented by alluvial fan, Gilbert‐type delta, shoal‐water delta, foreshore, shoreface, offshore‐transition and peat‐forming mire deposits.
