Experimental Study of Gas Microbubbles on Oil‐Infused Wrinkled Surfaces
Microbubbles are observed on both superhydrophobic (SHS) and lubricant‐infused surfaces (LIS) immersed to gassed water. The bubbles on LIS are stabilized by the lubricant cloaking layer, while bubbles on SHS shrink vertically over the same time frame.

Enhanced Two‐Photon Excited Emission of Quantum Emitters by Colloidal Plasmonic Metasurfaces
Colloidal plasmonic metasurfaces presenting a completely exposed optical cavity are fabricated via templated self‐assembling silver nanoparticles into squared arrays on top of a thin film of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots. The resulting structure promotes the enhancement of the two‐photon absorption and emission processes of the quantum emitter by exploiting ...

Wave Propagation in Porous Elastoplastic Rocks: Implication for Seismic Attenuation [PDF]
We develop and study a 1D model for the acoustic wave propagation with two-phase physics and irreversible elastoplastic deformations in the rock matrix. We address the effect of the P-wave energy attenuation due to pore-scale plastic yielding in pre-stressed sedimentary rocks.

Research core drilling in the Manson impact structure, Iowa [PDF]
The Manson impact structure (MIS) has a diameter of 35 km and is the largest confirmed impact structure in the United States. The MIS has yielded a Ar-40/Ar-39 age of 65.7 Ma on microcline from its central peak, an age that is indistinguishable from the ...
