Calotropis procera Latex Extract as an Effective Green Corrosion Inhibitor for Mild Steel in Acidic Medium: Experimental and Quantum Chemical Approaches

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this work, Calotropis procera latex extract (CPLE) was evaluated as an environmentally benign corrosion inhibition on mild steel in 1‐M HCl using gravimetric, electrochemical, surface, and computational approaches. The results revealed that CPLE exhibited an efficient corrosion inhibitor with the efficiency of 94.26% and 93.10% at 200‐ppm ...

Polymer Flooding Dynamics in Enhanced Oil Recovery: A Pore‐Scale Study of the Influence of Shear‐Thinning Rheology on Flow Dynamics and Recovery Efficiency

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
This study explores how polymer behavior affects oil recovery in porous rocks. It shows that shear‐thinning polymers become less effective at high flow rates, reducing oil displacement efficiency. The findings highlight the need to optimize polymer injection rates and formulations for better recovery.

Synapsids and sensitivity: Broad survey of tetrapod trigeminal canal morphology supports an evolutionary trend of increasing facial tactile specialization in the mammal lineage

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The trigeminus nerve (cranial nerve V) is a large and significant conduit of sensory information from the face to the brain, with its three branches extending over the head to innervate a wide variety of integumentary sensory receptors, primarily tactile.
