Sonoepigenetic Modification Mechanoprimes Early Osteogenic Commitment in Mesenchymal Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Brief 10 min bursts of high frequency (10 MHz) vibrational mechanostimulation to stem cells are shown to activate their epigenetic machinery to condition their differentiation down an osteogenic lineage within just 3 days, which is much earlier than that with other forms of mechanostimuli, and without requiring any biochemical additives. Abstract Cells

Effect of Silicon‐Based Electrolyte Additive on the Solid‐Electrolyte Interphase of Rechargeable Mg Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, a silicon‐based electrolyte additive is introduced to condition the interfaces through an activation process. Symmetric cell studies with the additive show a five‐fold decrease in interfacial resistance and over 1200 h of stable Mg plating/stripping overpotential. The full cells with Mo6S8 cathodes exhibit excellent cycling stability over

An Injectable Zwitterionic Hydrogels with Multiple Intermolecular Interactions for Effective Prevention of Abdominal Adhesions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An injectable PSA‐ZnO through multiple intermolecular including hydrogen bonds and electrostatic interactions for effectively prevents abdominal adhesions. The PSA‐ZnO hydrogel demonstrates superior wound healing promotion (≥ 95%) and more effective inhibition of scar formation compared to the commercial 3M dressing (≈80%), and prevents post‐operative ...

Reaction Suppression Between a High‐Ni Cathode Material (NMC622) and Li7La3Zr2O12 on Co‐Sintering for Manufacturing Bulk‐Type All‐Solid‐State Batteries: A New Method and Its Mechanism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bulk‐type all‐solid‐state battery is produced by co‐sintering the proprietary NMC622 and LLZ. This proprietary NMC622 can avoid the formation of impurity phases under co‐sintering. The reduced Ni2+ fraction in NMC622 and the presence of a self‐formed Li2CO3 surface layer result in this outcome. It is possible to realize a rechargeable all‐solid‐state

Determination of the tangential component of cutting resistance during frozen sedimentary rock cutting using blocked, deeply blocked and cell cutting methods

open access: yesЗаписки Горного института
Due to the insufficient accuracy of existing studies of frozen sedimentary rock cutting process for practical calculations, the article solves the problem of determining the tangential component cutting resistance for blocked, deep blocked and cell ...
