Structure‐Guided Engineering of a Promiscuous O‐Methyltransferase for a SAM Regeneration Biocatalysis Platform of Methylated Pharmaceuticals

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
A substrate promiscuous and regioselective O‐methyltransferase, SmOMT, is functionally and structurally characterized. A double mutant, SmOMTE152A/I306A, exhibited enhanced catalytic activity. By coupling this mutant with a mutant halide methyltransferase, AtHMTV140T, for SAM regeneration, a superior artificial fusion enzyme, AtHMTV140T‐L95‐SmOMTE152A ...

Dissolution Study of Biodegradable Magnesium Silicide Thin Films for Transient Electronic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 15, 13 March 2026.
Magnesium silicide (Mg2Si) is introduced as a narrow‐bandgap, biodegradable semiconductor for transient electronics. RF‐sputtered and annealed Mg2Si thin films show high intrinsic electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity. The polycrystalline material undergoes hydrolysis in aquatic and composting environments with minimal cytotoxicity ...

Facile and Rapid Fabrication of Thermoelectric Legs via Filtration of Doped Polymer Suspension

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 11, 18 March 2026.
A vacuum‐filtration method using polymer‐dopant suspensions enables rapid fabrication of tens‐of‐micrometers‐thick, uniformly doped polymer films. Excess dopants and short‐conjugated polymer chains are effectively removed during filtration, reducing structural and energetic disorder.

Thermoelectric Performance and Morphological Stability of Thin Titania: Carbon Black Hybrid Films Against Humidity and Light Irradiation

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Nanostructured titania:carbon black hybrid films, fabricated via water‐based slot‐die coating, show stable thermoelectric performance under light irradiation but degrade under high humidity. Operando grazing incidence small‐angle X‐ray scattering reveals humidity‐induced morphological changes correlating with reduced Seebeck coefficients.

Cadmium and Zinc‐Doped p‐type Sb2Se3 Single Crystals and Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Cd and Zn were assessed as candidate p‐type dopants in Sb2Se3 single crystals in concentrations between 1016‐1020 cm−3. Both are effective in inducing p‐type conductivity, however Cd doped crystals exhibit lower resistivity across a wider range of dopant levels.

Sustainable Framework for Thermoelectric Inorganic‐In‐Organic Superlattices With High Power Factor and Selective P‐ or N‐Type Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
By multilayering poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate with metal nanolayers into a superlattice structure, we report an enhancement to the thermoelectric performance of two orders of magnitude, achieving a peak power factor of 2800 µW m−1 K−2.
