The Effects of Seed Treatment, Sowing date, Cultivar and Harvest date on the Yield and Quality of Sugar Beet

open access: yes, 2002
Masters ThesisTrials were carried out at Lyons Estate Research Farm during 1998 on sugar beet (Beta Vulgaris). The commercially available seed treatment ‘Advantage’ was tested across 3 sowing dates, 4 commercially available cultivars and 4 harvest ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Analysis of phenotypic diversity of true leaves in lettuce lines (Lactuca sativa var. secalina L.) created by physical and chemical mutagenesis

open access: yesБіофізичний вісник
Background: To expand the genotypic diversity of lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. secalina L.), it is advisable to use physical and chemical mutagenesis methods that allow changing beneficial traits of the original form, which can then be stabilized rapidly ...

The use of the method of adaptability estimation, genotype stability and differential ability of the environment in spring barley breeding to improve grain quality

open access: yesЗерновое хозяйство России, 2019
Despite the great achievements in the breeding of wheat, corn, soybeans and other crops, spring barley is still the most important grain crop in the Russian Federation. It is proved by the growth of its acreage, which reached 8.4 million hectares in 2016

Seed development, yield and quality of two palm species growing in different tropical forest types in SE Brazil: implications for ecological restoration

open access: yes, 2011
Natural forest remnants have been set as seed production fields to supply seeds of native tree species for tropical forest restoration, but the effect of different forest types on seed production has not been accessed to date for palm species.

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...
