Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Priming with potassium solutions improves seedling growth and vigor in forage sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) [PDF]
In this study a laboratory experiment was conducted to assess the effect of different potassium priming sources on seedling growth and vigor of sorghum genotypes. Priming with KH2PO4 gave best results for SOG (23.052), RL (19.667) and VI (2,291.9).

Seed priming as a method of preservation and restoration of sunflower seeds
The study focused on determining the preservative and restorative effects of seed priming with gibberellic acid (GA3) and potassium nitrate (KNO3) on sunflower seeds against deterioration. The seeds were immersed in different concentrations (0, 250, 500, and 1000 mg L−1) of GA3and KNO3solutions before and after being subjected to accelerated aging (AA).

Seed priming is a pragmatic enhancement technology to improve seed performance used from ancient to modern times. Priming accelerates and synchronises the germination of seeds across a wider range of temperatures, giving rapid and uniform stand establishment of crop plants, particularly for low vigour and dormant seeds.

Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Seed priming is a commercially used technique for improving seed performance including germination. However, the treatment sometimes reduces seed longevity as a side effect, limiting the storable period or longevity of the seeds. To overcome this problem,

Seed treatments for sustainable agriculture-A review [PDF]
Seed treatment refers to the application of certain agents physical, chemical or biological to the seed prior to sowing in order to suppress, control or repel pathogens, insects and other pests that attack seeds, seedlings or plants and it ranges from a ...

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Effect of Salicylic Acid and Ascorbic Acid on Germination Indexes and Enzyme Activity of Sorghum Seeds under Drought Stress [PDF]
Seed priming methods have been used to increase germination characteristics under stress conditions. The effects of drought stress (0, -4, -8, -12 and -16 bar) and salicylic acid 25 ppm at 15 °C for 15 h and ascorbic acid 25 ppm at 15 °C for 15 ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
