[Effects of seed priming on vigor of Prunella vulgaris seeds].
Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2009To select an effective way to enhance vigor of Prunella vulgaris seeds.Three population seeds were treated at the 20 degrees C and dark enviroment.Priming with 20% - 30% PEG and 200 - 400 mg x L(-1) GA3 could enhance seeds germination and vigor. Germination percentage of three population seeds treated with 0. 6% - 3.0% NaCl reduced, but they started to

Determination of seed vigor of the pea
2013Seed producers regularly control seed before the distribution. Some of those methods are standard (standard germination – SG, germination energy – GE, 1000 grain mass) but some which would show reaction of the seed on unfavorable conditions in the field are not regular (cold test – CT, elctrical conductivity – EC).

A commercial solid matric priming method and an osmotic priming method were used to measure seed priming responses of birdsfoot trefoil, kura clover, and sericea lespedeza. Differences were not observed using standard germination tests, but both priming methods show potential for increased germination rate (P>0.05).
