Spanolepis selloanae (Diptera, Cecidomyiidae) infests Cortaderia selloana (pampas grass). It lays eggs in the spikelets, where larvae feed on female parts. The high prevalence of the midge and its combined impact in seed production, condition and viability strongly reduces the reproductive output of C. selloana.

A defensive symbiont and a plant virus confer direct and discrete phenotypes to a cereal aphid in a context‐dependent manner

Different BYDV‐PAV isolates exert contrasting effects on aphid fitness, including reproduction and winged production. Different BYDV‐PAV isolates have contrasting effects on aphid dispersal patterns. Aphid feeding behaviour is modulated by the presence of endosymbionts and plant viruses.

Populations of the Short‐eared Owl Asio flammeus have declined across Europe and North America, probably in response to habitat degradation driven by agricultural intensification. Environmental and seasonal filtering of taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic diversity patterns of mountain butterflies in a prime butterfly area, Greece

Forest clearings support butterfly communities comparable to mountainous grasslands in alpha‐diversity and conservation value, yet remain compositionally distinct. Generalized linear models (GLMs) showed three key habitat predictors shaping multifaceted diversity and community composition: herb/grass height, flowerhead abundance and elevation.
