Geoexploration, 1964Abstract The anisotropy of the seismic velocity at a metamorphic shale was determined by measurements underground in the Langsele mine in the Skelleftea ore district (Sweden). In this paper the results are discussed and compared with a model consisting of a stratified medium with two alternating layers.
