Seismic Behavior of Exterior GFRP-RC Beam–Column Connections: Analytical Study
Journal of composites for construction, 2018Four full-scale specimens were constructed and tested under reversal cyclic loading to study the seismic behavior of exterior glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP)-reinforced concrete (RC) ...

Seismic Behavior of Gravity Retaining Walls
GeoFlorida 2010, 2010Finite Element Method has been used to investigate the interaction of soil-retaining wall under the effect of earthquake induced forces. By numerical analysis the behavior of modeled gravity retaining walls have been evaluated under the effect of four real earthquake spectra.

Seismic Behaviors of Suspend Dome Structure
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011As a new type of structural form, the suspend dome structure combines both advantages of the single layer reticulated shell structure and the cable dome structure. The anti-seismic performance of suspend dome have been analyzed by employing a computational model of the Kiewitt suspend dome with 40m span. The different seismic behaviors of time history ...

Seismic Response Behavior of Buried Pipelines
Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology, 1979Pipeline damages caused by earthquake excitations in the longitudinal direction of a pipeline have been observed to be a major mode of failure. A simplified quasi-static seismic deformation analysis neglecting the dynamic terms for buried pipelines subjected to earthquake motions in the axial direction is proposed. The analysis involves the solution of

Seismic Behavior of Coupled Wall Systems
Journal of Structural Engineering, 1984Structural walls connected by short coupling beams were investigated experimentally and analytically. Two one‐third scale coupled wall systems were tested with in‐plane reversing loads. The systems represented a lightly coupled wall with relatively weak beams and a heavily coupled wall with strong repaired beams.

Seismic Behavior of Structural Silicone Glazing
1996In seismic events, glass curtain walls undergo racking deformation, while the flat glass lites do not rack due to their high shear stiffness. If the glass curtain wall is not isolated from the building frame by specifically designed connections that accommodate relative motion, seismic racking motion of the building frame will demand significant ...
