How Much Acoustic Wave Energy Is Converted to Seismic-Wave Energy in Acoustic–Seismic Coupling?

Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America
ABSTRACT The interaction between acoustic waves and the ground surface produces surface displacements that are detected by geophones. Seismic waves generated by the coupling of acoustic waves are referred to as acoustic–seismic coupling signals.

Seismic energy mapping applied to Turkey

Tectonophysics, 1982
Abstract The moving-block method for seismicity mapping in terms of the released seismic wave energy is applied to Turkey. It is demonstrated that this method is applicable to regions of a high seismicity, in addition to those of a low seismicity, demonstrated earlier.
