Abstract Frequency‐dependent seismic velocity variations (dv/v) provide depth‐resolved constraints on aquifer behavior under groundwater fluctuations. We analyze 17 years of dv/v time series from ambient noise interferometry in the Chiang Mai Basin, Thailand, and observe contrasting dv/v behavior below and above 1 Hz. By integrating GPS, meteorological,

Pleistocene Smoothing and Resurfacing of Appalachian Ridgelines by Periglaciation
Abstract Pleistocene cold periods created widespread periglacial conditions across mid‐latitudes, but isolating their geomorphic impact from modern climate, tectonics, and rock strength is challenging. We studied Appalachian (Eastern U.S.) ridgelines across a paleoclimate gradient, controlling for bedrock and structure, to test if colder periglacial ...

Tide‐Modulated Ocean‐to‐Earth Energy Conversion Quantified With Coastal Fiber Sensing
Abstract Quantifying how incident ocean waves transfer energy into seismic surface waves along the nearshore is essential for understanding coastal hazards and Earth–ocean coupling, yet time‐resolved in situ estimates have been scarce. Here we use a beach‐deployed distributed acoustic sensing array co‐located with an ocean‐bottom node to directly ...

Abstract Controlling fluid injection is widely considered a key to limiting the size of injection‐induced seismicity, yet whether and how it limits earthquake size remains debated. We perform injection‐reactivation experiments on critically stressed faults to test how different injection strategies shape slip and seismic moment release.

Migration of Multimodal Deep Crustal Earthquake Swarm Beneath the Abu Volcano Group, Japan
Abstract Earthquakes in the lower crust, where high pressures and temperatures favor ductile deformation, are rare but occasionally occur beneath active volcanic centers, providing insights into deep magmatic processes. We analyze a deep crustal earthquake swarm (February–August 2025) of over 5,000 events beneath the Abu Volcano Group, Japan.
