Profiling Protein‐Peptide Interactions by Yeast Surface Display

open access: yesCurrent Protocols, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Protein‐peptide interactions are central to many biological processes and form the basis for many techniques in basic research and therapeutic discovery. A common research challenge is to identify specific peptide ligands or binding motifs where no initial hit is known. Here we describe a protocol for discovering protein‐binding peptides using

Unraveling Spatiotemporal Heterogeneity and Driving Mechanism of Vegetation Recovery in Co‐Seismic Landslide Areas via Nonlinear Trajectories and Bayesian Networks

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
We developed an integrated GAM–Bayesian framework to diagnose the nonlinear recovery dynamics of vegetation in landslide‐affected areas. Our model reveals that most sites reached a key recovery inflection point within 5–7 years, with faster recovery occurring under warm, moist, and moderate light conditions.

Probabilistic Seismic Stability Analysis of Pile Reinforced Slope Using Modified Pseudo Dynamic Method Based on Modified Response Surfaces Approach

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
A probabilistic analysis framework for the seismic stability of pile‐reinforced slopes is developed by coupling the modified pseudo‐dynamic method with the response surface approach, enabling a more accurate estimation of the factor of safety and failure probability.

Strategic Risk Assessment of High‐Speed Rail Development in India Using an Integrated SWOT–Fuzzy DEMATEL Framework

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
High‐speed rail projects involve complex technical, financial, environmental, and regulatory challenges. This study proposes an integrated SWOT–Fuzzy DEMATEL framework to systematically identify and analyze the interactions among strategic factors affecting HSR development in India.

Evaluation of the Adequacy of Design Specifications for Nonstructural Components in a Reticular Structure

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, Volume 55, Issue 10, Page 2132-2150, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Nonstructural components (NSCs) installed in large‐span reticular structures were frequently severely damaged during earthquakes, even when the primary structure remained intact. Existing seismic design specifications for NSCs were predominantly developed for upright structures such as multi‐storey buildings and offer no guidance for reticular
