区域宽频地震波形反演所揭示的2022年青海门源MS6.9地震震源破裂过程

open access: yesDizhen xuebao, 2023

Estimation of pixel-level seismic vulnerability of the building environment based on mid-resolution optical remote sensing images

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Earth Observations and Geoinformation, 2021
Building damage after seismic disasters is one of the most vital factors threatening people's lives. The seismic vulnerability of buildings over large scales at the regional or country level is a key parameter for the mitigation of seismic disaster risk ...

Seismicity and seismic hazards

open access: yes, 2001
Many earthquakes occur along Canada's western margin near the edge of the North American Plate, but others occur within the plate in Arctic and southeastern Canada. Damaging earthquakes have occurred throughout history in both Eastern and Western Canada, and will undoubtedly recur in the future.

Seismic hazard evaluation

open access: yesBulletin of the New Zealand Society for Earthquake Engineering, 2000
This paper reviews concepts and trends in seismic hazard characterization that have emerged in the past decade, and identifies trends and concepts that are anticipated during the coming decade. New methods have been developed for characterizing potential earthquake sources that use geological and geodetic data in conjunction with historical seismicity ...

A comparative study of seismic tomography models of Southwest ChinaKey points

open access: yesEarthquake Science, 2023
The margin of the Tibetan Plateau of Southwest China is one of the most seismically active regions of China and is the location of the China Seismic Experimental Site (CSES). Many studies have developed seismic velocity models of Southwest China, but few

Calculation of the Coseismic Landslide Volume Using DEMs: An Example from the Yingxiu Area, Wenchuan, Sichuan, China

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2021
Volume calculation is important for quantifying the erosion driven by coseismic landslides in geomorphology. With the advent of digital elevation models (DEMs), quantifying features of landslide bodies have become possible, permitting to calculate the ...

Identification of the late Quaternary activity of the littoral fault zone at the Northern Jiangsu province in China

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
It has been accepted that a littoral fault zone (LFZ) exists at the Northern Jiangsu Province, but its geometric distribution and the late Quaternary activity are still controversial. In this study, to constrain its late Quaternary activity, we collected
