Multicontinuum Homogenization for Poroelasticity Model
This work derives a generalized multicontinuum poroelasticity model using the multicontinuum homogenization method to enable accurate coarse‐grid simulations of coupled flow–mechanics processes in highly heterogeneous porous media. Coupled constraint cell problems are formulated, and the corresponding multicontinuum equations are rigorously derived ...

Multifactorial Screening for Fine‐Scale Selection of CCS Industrial Clusters and Hubs in Brazil
ABSTRACT As Brazil moves toward implementing its decarbonization commitments, carbon capture and storage (CCS) hubs are emerging as a key pathway for large‐scale CO2 abatement in hard‐to‐abate sectors. This paper presents a multifactorial, data‐driven framework to screen and prioritize potential CCS industrial clusters and hubs across Brazilian regions,

Seismic performance enhancement of underground structure influenced by CFRP wrapping schemes
The seismic failure mechanism of underground structures showing structural collapse is attributed to the deformation incompatibility between the central columns and the sidewalls, especially the insufficient deformation capacity of the central columns ...

Carbonates from Santos Basin revealed U–Pb ages correlated with basalt ages (A), suggesting that they were formed during magmatic events. These events placed hot CO2 in the reservoir, which, when mixed with carbonate‐rich cold water (B), led to thermal convection, enabling the formation of the U contained in the carbonates.

Dense seismic network provides new insight into the 2007 Upptyppingar dyke intrusion
Factors such as network geometry, network size and phase-picking accuracy have significant effects on the precision of seismic hypocentre locations. In turn, the precision of the hypocentral locations dictates the degree to which morphological details ...
