Seismic vulnerability assessment for Montreal
Georisk: Assessment and Management of Risk for Engineered Systems and Geohazards, 2015ABSTRACTIn Canada, Montreal is the second city with the highest seismic risk. This is due to its relatively high seismic hazard, old infrastructures and high population density. The region is characterised by moderate seismic activity with no recent record of a major earthquake.

The seismic vulnerability of architectural heritage
Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Structures and Buildings, 2008An evaluation of the seismic vulnerability of our architectural heritage is a critical task in the planning of retrofits to buildings in seismic zones. Surviving European monumental buildings are embedded in an urban environment of traditional buildings, the preservation of which is also important.

Assessment of seismic vulnerability of structures
Journal of Constructional Steel Research, 2006The paper addresses the application of effective tools for investigating structural integrity under earthquake loading, namely experimental testing, computer analysis and field data collection, and their combination. In particular, the application of hybrid (experimental-analytical) distributed (using several sites) simulation, hereafter referred to as

"Seismic vulnerability of masonry curved elements

Seismic vulnerability of monumental buildings
Structural Safety, 2001Abstract Monumental buildings are by definition unique buildings that cannot be reduced to any standard structural scheme: this makes it difficult to evaluate their seismic reliability, because—in addition to the many uncertainties that are common to all existing (and in particular “old”) buildings—no statistics on the behaviour of similar ...
