Recent progress on wave gradiometry method
Wave gradiometry method is a data processing technique based on dense seismic arrays and is suitable for a variety of seismic signals/phases such as P-waves, S-waves, Rayleigh waves, Love waves, and ambient noise.

Finite-difference modelling to evaluate seismic P-wave and shear-wave field data [PDF]
High-resolution reflection seismic methods are an established non-destructive tool for engineering tasks. In the near surface, shear-wave reflection seismic measurements usually offer a higher spatial resolution in the same effective signal frequency ...

Modelling strong seismic ground motion: three-dimensional loading path versus wavefield polarization [PDF]
Seismic waves due to strong earthquakes propagating in surficial soil layers may both reduce soil stiffness and increase the energy dissipation into the soil.

Effects of Oblique Incidence of SV Waves on Nonlinear Seismic Response of a Lined Arched Tunnel
The incident direction of earthquake motion is an important factor affecting the seismic response of underground structures. In this study, a three-dimensional (3D) oblique incidence method of SV waves is proposed and the effects of incident angles of SV

Tube waves, seismic waves and effective sources [PDF]
The radiation of waves from a monopole source in a fluid-filled borehole into an elastic medium is considered. A simple asymptotic analysis, based on the smallness of the ratio of the borehole radius to the wavelength, reveals the interaction between tube waves and seismic waves.

Wavefield-reconstruction-based full waveform inversion on noisy data in seismic exploration
Full waveform inversion (FWI) is commonly used in seismic exploration to calculate parameters of the medium, such as velocity, from the signal as it passes through the medium.

Seismic Waveguide of Metamaterials
We have developed a new method of an earthquake-resistant design to support conventional aseismic designs using acoustic metamaterials. We suggest a simple and practical method to reduce the amplitude of a seismic wave exponentially.
