Heartbeat Detection in Seismocardiograms with Semantic Segmentation
2022 44th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBC), 2022Heartbeat detection is an essential part of cardiac signal analysis because it is recognized as a representative measure of cardiac function. The gold standard for heartbeat detection is to locate QRS complexes in electrocardiograms. Due to the development of sensors and information and communication technologies (ICT), seismocardiography (SCG) is ...

Exploring Seismocardiogram Biometrics with Wavelet Transform
2020 25th International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR), 2021Seismocardiogram (SCG) has become easily accessible in the past decade owing to the advance of sensor technology. However, SCG biometric has not been widely explored. In this paper, we propose combining wavelet transform together with deep learning models, machine learning classifiers, or distance metric to perform SCG biometric matching tasks.

Seismocardiogram and Ballistocardiogram Sensing
International Journal of Measurement Technologies and Instrumentation Engineering, 2011The paper describes the latest development in seismocardiography and ballistocardiography, including sensors with or without mechanical contact with the body, for cardiac functions monitoring in common daily activity. The authors discuss the information related with the seismocardiogramn (SCG) and ballistocardiogram (BCG) and the work on SCG and BCG ...

24h seismocardiogram monitoring in ambulant subjects
2012 Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2012Sternal seismocardiogram (SCG) is the assessment of microvibrations produced by the beating heart as detected by an accelerometer positioned on the sternum. This signal reflects mechanical events of the heart contraction, including the opening and closure of mitral and aortic valves and maximal blood flow acceleration.

Wavelet transform analysis of the seismocardiogram
Proceedings of Third International Symposium on Time-Frequency and Time-Scale Analysis (TFTS-96), 2002Seismocardiography is a new, non-invasive technique developed for recording and analyzing cardiac vibratory activity. Recent studies of seismocardiograms (SCGs) have demonstrated that they are a potential technique for detecting coronary artery disease.
