Seismocardiography: a technique for recording precordial acceleration
[1991] Computer-Based Medical Systems@m_Proceedings of the Fourth Annual IEEE Symposium, 2002The methodology for obtaining a recording and the initial findings from the seismocardiography (SCG) technique are described. It is shown that the seismocardiogram contains clearly defined points associated with the cardiac cycle that are correlated by analyzing simultaneous SCG and M-mode and Doppler echocardiograms.

Timing detection and seismocardiography waveform extraction

This timing indicates the precise time location of each heart beat and therefore directly conveys heart rate information. A 3D model of the thorax for seismocardiography
2015 Computing in Cardiology Conference (CinC), 2015Seismocardiography (SCG) is measurement of sternal acceleration caused by heart beats. Although fiducial cardiac events have been associated with seismocardiogram extrema, the forces that cause the vibrations are unknown. The goal of this study was to create a 3D model of the thorax capable of modelling its vibrations under heart-like forces.
