On the properties of discs around accreting brown dwarfs
We present a grid of models of accreting brown dwarf systems with circumstellar discs. The calculations involve a self-consistent solution of both vertical hydrostatic and radiative equilibrium along with a sophisticated treatment of dust sublimation. We

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Selection indices in Bread Wheat [Triticum aestivum L.]
The discriminant-function technique was used to construct selection indices in 52 genotypes of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.).Sixty-three selection indices involving grain yield per plant and its five components were constructed using discriminant ...

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

RELATIVE EFFICIENCY OF SELECTION INDICES FOR GRAIN YIELD IN BREAD WHEAT (Triticum aestivum L.) [PDF]
Six traits of bread wheat in 15 F2 generation of crosses from 6×6 diallel mating system with their parents were studied. The relative efficiency over grain yield from selection based on several indices were calculated .

A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Recurrent selection of popcorn composites UEMCO1 and UEM-CO2 based on selection indices [PDF]
Selection indices were applied to data sets of 169 half-sib families of the popcorn composites UEM-Co1 and UEM-Co2 in four cycles of recurrent selection.

Rank-Select Indices Without Tears [PDF]
A rank-select index for a sequence $B=(b_1,\ldots,b_n)$ of $n$ bits is a data structure that, if provided with an operation to access $ (\log n)$ arbitrary consecutive bits of $B$ in constant time (thus $B$ is stored outside of the data structure), can compute $\mathit{rank}_B(j)=\sum_{i=1}^j b_i$ for given $j\in\{0,\ldots,n\}$ and $\mathit{select}_B ...

Mean Reversion in the Nikkei, Standard & Poor and Dow Jones indices [PDF]
Three stock market indices (the Nikkei 225, the Standard and Poor’s 500 and the Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50) are analysed in this paper using a parametric procedure for fractional integration.
