Selective bio-flocculation of hematite mineral using Bacillus subtilis for phosphorous removal from iron ores [PDF]

open access: yesReciklaža i Održivi Razvoj
Bacillus subtilis is used as a bio-surface modifier to flocculate hematite mineral (Fe 2O 3). The effect of bacterial interaction on the behavior of hematite and apatite minerals, as the main source of phosphorous in iron ore, was investigated using zeta-

Overcharging and reentrant condensation of thermoresponsive ionic microgels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We investigated the complexation of thermoresponsive anionic poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNiPAM) microgels and cationic $\epsilon$-polylysine ($\epsilon$-PLL) chains. By combining electrophoresis, light scattering, transmission electron microscopy (TEM)

Construction of a flocculent brewer's yeast strain secreting Aspergillus niger β-galactosidase [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
One way of improving heterologous protein production is to use high cell density systems, one of the most attractive being the flocculating yeast production system. Also, lactose is available in large amounts as a waste product from cheese production

High‐Throughput Exfoliation of Optoelectronic‐Grade MoS2 via Turbulent‐Flow Wet Jet Milling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable wet jet milling exfoliation method is demonstrated for producing optoelectronic‐grade MoS2 nanosheets using environmentally friendly ethyl cellulose in ethanol dispersion media. Guided by fluid dynamics modeling, this approach is optimized to achieve record‐high exfoliation throughput and concentration.
