Composite Micropowders for Selective Laser Sintering

Metallurgist, 2016
A method is proposed for obtaining composite micropowders. The technology includes the atomization of liquid metal by a gas jet and modification of the micropowder in a planetary mixer in the presence of carbon nanopowder. The particles of the composite micropowders produced by this method are close to spherical in shape.

Selective laser sintering in biomedical manufacturing

2020
Selective laser sintering (SLS) has been proved to be a reliable and robust additive manufacturing technology for producing different categories of biomedical devices. The SLS system has a great advantage of being tailored to a wide range of requirements through the adjustment of laser and process parameters.

Indirect selective laser sintering of ceramics

2021
Ceramics with intricate geometries are useful in a wide range of technical applications, but current manufacturing techniques limit the geometric complexity. Additive manufacturing (AM) is a viable approach to surmount these limitations and produce complex tailored structures.

Selective laser sintering of compacted powders

Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics, 1998
The selective laser sintering of preliminarily compacted powders was investigated. Depths of sintering lower than those with freely poured powders were attained. This has a negative effect on the production of multilayered articles. The main disadvantage of the process, however, was the difficulty in separating the article from the unsintered compacted

Selective laser sintering of microwave components

2005 European Microwave Conference, 2005
This paper investigates the fabrication of functional microwave components using the selective laser sintering process to sinter conventional screen printing inks. This technique has the potential to metallize low-temperature substrates by controlling the laser parameters.

SELECTIVE LASER SINTERING OF POLYAMIDE12 COMPOSITES

2017
The composites of CF/PA12 were prepared by Selective Laser Sintering, which is one kind of Additive Manufacturing. The thermal influence of carbon fiber (CF) on the PA12 in the laser sintering process was assessed by physical experiments and a three dimensional simulation model.
