Nickelferrite on Pnictogen Functionalized Carbon Nanohorns. Bifunctional ORR and OER Catalysts in Rechargeable Zinc‐Air Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A systematic study on the performance of N,P‐doped NiFe2O4@CNH bi‐functional hybrid electrocatalysts for rechargeable zinc‐air batteries is presented. The importance of P, N‐doping and the intimate tethering of nickel‐ferrite nanocubes on the carbon nano‐horn (CNH) surface which are well dispersed on the surface of N,P doped CNHs.

Smartphone‐Guided Visible Light Modulation of RSNOs for Antimicrobial Activity via Controlled Nitric Oxide Release

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A light‐activated catheter insert combines antimicrobial blue light with nitric oxide release to generate complementary oxidative and nitrosative stress, producing potent broad‐spectrum antimicrobial activity. The approach achieves greater than 4‐log reductions in bacterial and fungal viability and significantly reduces Staphylococcus aureus ...

The In Situ Electrochemical−Chemical Cascade Strategy for Pyruvic Acid Synthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By employing an “unsaturation−oxygen coordination engineering” strategy, the local coordination environment is regulated to achieve efficient electrochemical synthesis of H2O2. Importantly, an electrochemical−chemical coupled cascade strategy is utilized for the efficient preparation of pyruvic acid via lactic acid oxidation. ABSTRACT Hydrogen peroxide
