Phase selective leaches for use in exploration geochemistry
This paper describes the development and evaluation of a sequential extraction scheme for application to soils, tills, and surficial sediments to elucidate the form(s) in which an element is held and hence to provide information as to its genesis. The operationally defined phases selected for extraction have been assigned the following categories ...

This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

The development of a sustainable recycling process for lithium from spent lithium-ion batteries is an essential step to reduce the environmental impact of batteries. So far, the industrial implementation of a recycling process for lithium has been hindered by low recycling efficiencies and impurities in the recycled material.

Recovery of Potassium and Phosphorus from Digested Sludge Ash via Selective Multi-step Leaching
Digested sludge represents a waste biomass derived from anaerobic digestion processes that require proper management due to its harmful pathogen content. The most common management route is incineration, which allows a reduction in volume.

It is essential to recycle zinc leaching residue (ZLR) generated by the conventional zinc hydrometallurgy process, as it is a hazardous and potentially valuable industrial waste. A combined calcification roasting–acid leaching process was developed to selectively separate and recover zinc from ZLR.

POM‐Based Water Splitting Catalyst Under Acid Conditions Driven by Its Assembly on Carbon Nanotubes
A newly‐engineered POM‐based electrocatalyst incorporating non‐innocent counter cations exhibits fast kinetics for either the OER or HER under strongly acidic conditions (1 m H2SO4), depending on whether it is assembled on carbon nanotubes (1@CNT) or physically mixed with them (1/CNT). In water‐splitting tests using a two‐electrode setup, these systems
