Decommissioning of a selected heap leach dump
International Journal of Surface Mining, Reclamation and Environment, 1996ABSTRACT Cyanidation heap leaching is a prevalent low-cost method to extract gold from low-grade ores in the western United States. Relatively little is known about the geochemical processes which occur when a spent heap leach dump is rinsed to reduce the levels of potentially toxic constituents, however. Given that many heap leach dumps will be rinsed

Selective leaching of chromium-containing slag by HCl
Journal of Central South University of Technology, 2008A batch of column experiments was carried out to investigate the change of Cr(Ⅵ) concentration leached out from chromium-containing slag with HCl as leaching agent, and to study influences of pH, ratio of solid mass to solution volume, flow velocity and temperature on Cr(Ⅵ) leaching. The optimal parameters were obtained for Cr(Ⅵ) leaching and a fitting

Selection criteria of xenobiotic leaching models in soil
European Journal of Agronomy, 1995Selection criteria of xenobiotic dissipation models in soil are discussed. Model potentialities and user requirements are diverse ; it is paramount to evaluate each model in view of its application. Three main topics are evaluated : user/programme interactions, model purposes, and real world/model relationships. 1) A programme (or a paper-written model)

Stable cluster head selection in LEACH protocol
Proceedings of the 7th ACM India Computing Conference, 2014Optimal cluster head count plays a key role in determining the efficiency of a cluster based routing protocol. If the cluster head count will be more than the optimal value, aggregation advantage cannot be taken fully. If clusters are less, then there will be more aggregation load on the cluster head and communication load on the cluster members as ...

Selective uranium oxidation during in situ leaching
Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, 1992O2, NaClO3, H2O2, NaOCl and Ce+4 have been examined as oxidants in an alkaline carbonate system for uranium in situ leaching. The South Texas and New Mexico ores contained up to 2.6 meq/g of reducing compounds that consume oxidants in the leaching operation. Leaching rates did not increase linearly with the oxidation potential of the oxidants.
