Effect of selected parameters on tetrahedrite leaching by ozone

Hydrometallurgy, 2005
Abstract Tetrahedrite, Cu 12 Sb 4 S 13 , can be an interesting and important resource of copper, antimony or other non-ferrous metals as is evident from its chemical formula. In spite of the high content of antimony in tetrahedrite, this mineral is not currently processed by pyrometallurgical methods mainly due to environmental concerns.

Selective leaching of chromium-containing slag by HCl

Journal of Central South University of Technology, 2008
A batch of column experiments was carried out to investigate the change of Cr(Ⅵ) concentration leached out from chromium-containing slag with HCl as leaching agent, and to study influences of pH, ratio of solid mass to solution volume, flow velocity and temperature on Cr(Ⅵ) leaching. The optimal parameters were obtained for Cr(Ⅵ) leaching and a fitting

Selection criteria of xenobiotic leaching models in soil

European Journal of Agronomy, 1995
Selection criteria of xenobiotic dissipation models in soil are discussed. Model potentialities and user requirements are diverse ; it is paramount to evaluate each model in view of its application. Three main topics are evaluated : user/programme interactions, model purposes, and real world/model relationships. 1) A programme (or a paper-written model)

Selective uranium oxidation during in situ leaching

Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, 1992
O2, NaClO3, H2O2, NaOCl and Ce+4 have been examined as oxidants in an alkaline carbonate system for uranium in situ leaching. The South Texas and New Mexico ores contained up to 2.6 meq/g of reducing compounds that consume oxidants in the leaching operation. Leaching rates did not increase linearly with the oxidation potential of the oxidants.

The Use of Decision Methods in the Selection of Leaching Alternatives

2011
Traditionally the hydrometallurgical process routes development has been made based on personnel's experiences and preferences. Knowledge about different decisions has turned to tacit knowledge, which is very difficult to communicate to other people. For this reason an attempt has been made to develop a tool that could be used as a selection tool when ...
