Nanosized Copper Selenide Functionalized Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework‐8 (CuSe/ZIF‐8) for Efficient Immobilization of Gas‐Phase Elemental Mercury

Advanced Functional Materials, 2019
A key challenge in elemental mercury (Hg0) decontamination from flue gas lies in the design of a sorbent with abundant reactive adsorption sites that exhibit high affinity toward Hg0 to simultaneously achieve rapid capture and large capacity.

Selenide Retention by Mackinawite

Environmental Science & Technology, 2012
The isotope (79)Se may be of great concern with regard to the safe disposal of nuclear wastes in deep geological repositories due to its long half-life and potential mobility in the geosphere. The Se mobility is controlled by the oxidation state: the oxidized species (Se(IV)) and (Se(VI)) are highly mobile, whereas the reduced species (Se(0) and Se(-II)

Hydrogen selenide and methylselenol

1987
Publisher Summary Hydrogen selenide and related forms of selenium are difficult to handle. The absence of direct methods for identification of H2Se led to develop a method based on the use of Sanger's reagent (1-fluoro-2,4-dinitrobenzene, FDNB) to trap H2Se in a stable form upon volatilization from acid medium in a stream of nitrogen.

Photoconductivity of Indium selenide

Vacuum, 1953
Indium selenide layers have been formed by successive evaporations of indium and selenium and by direct evaporation of indium selenide. The films are photoconductive with a long wavelength cutoff at about 2 microns and peaks in their spectral response at 0.6 and 1.4 microns. A different time constant is associated with each peak.
