Targeting the CLK2/SRSF9 splicing axis in prostate cancer leads to decreased ARV7 expression
Molecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 2, Page 496-518, February 2025.In advanced prostate cancer (PC), resistance to AR signaling inhibitors upregulates splice variant ARV7. SNP rs5918762 located in the 3′ untranslated region of cryptic exon 3 affects ARV7 expression by involving the splice factor SRSF9. CLK2 regulates SRSF9, and the pharmacological inhibition of CLK2 reduces ARV7 levels.
