Field-Independence and Self-Actualization
Psychological Reports, 1975150 subjects were administered Witkin's Rod-and-frame Test (Series 3) and Shostrom's Personal Orientation Inventory. The results indicated 9 of 12 scales correlated significantly with the field-independent perceptual style. rs were of small magnitude. Difficulties inherent in this type of research are discussed.

Sensitivity Training and Self-Actualization
Psychological Reports, 197450 T-group volunteers who experienced a 24-hr. sensitivity training weekend were compared with a group of 55 student volunteers who had no training. Both groups responded to the Personal Orientation Inventory, a measure of self-actualization, in a pre-post, 6-wk., follow-up design. The T-groups were led by 10 paraprofessionals.

Sociopathy, Self-Actualization, and Time
Journal of Personality Assessment, 1976Male sociopaths (n = 15), and self-actualizers (n = 15) ages 18-30, were compared on 18 measures of temporal behavior obtained from estimation, projective, and questionnaire techniques. Subjects differed significantly on half of these measures including time accuracy, delay, dominance, relatedness, and evaluation of the various time modes.
