The homogeneous cosmological models with a Liouville scalar field are investigated in classical and quantum contexts of Wheeler–DeWitt geometrodynamics. In the quantum case of quintessence field with potential unbounded from below and phantom field, the ...

Self-Adjointness of Generalized MIC-Kepler System
We have studied the self-adjointness of generalized MIC-Kepler Hamiltonian, obtained from the formally self-adjoint generalized MIC-Kepler Hamiltonian. We have shown that for \tilde l=0, the system admits a 1-parameter family of self-adjoint extensions ...

Dirac equation in the magnetic-solenoid field [PDF]
We consider the Dirac equation in the magnetic-solenoid field (the field of a solenoid and a collinear uniform magnetic field). For the case of Aharonov-Bohm solenoid, we construct self-adjoint extensions of the Dirac Hamiltonian using von Neumann's ...

Scattering and Bound States of a Spin-1/2 Neutral Particle in the Cosmic String Spacetime
In this paper the relativistic quantum dynamics of a spin-1/2 neutral particle with a magnetic moment μ in the cosmic string spacetime is reexamined by applying the von Neumann theory of self-adjoint extensions.

MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF RESONATOR CHAINS IN EXTERNAL MAGNETIC FIELD [PDF]
Subject of Research. The paper considers a spectral problem for chains of weakly coupled ball-shaped resonators under the action of an external magnetic field. Two basic geometries are studied composed of identical resonators: the chain with a single kink

Both the nonrelativistic scattering and the spectrum in the presence of the Aharonov-Bohm potential are analyzed. The single-particle density of states (DOS) for different self-adjoint extensions is calculated.

Quasi boundary triples and semi-bounded self-adjoint extensions [PDF]
In this note semi-bounded self-adjoint extensions of symmetric operators are investigated with the help of the abstract notion of quasi boundary triples and their Weyl functions. The main purpose is to provide new sufficient conditions on the parameters in the boundary space to induce self-adjoint realizations, and to relate the decay of the Weyl ...

Bridging Optical and Mechanical Metamaterial/Metasurface Realms Toward Integrated Meta‐Systems
This perspective describes the rise of metamaterials in the field of materials science, specifically with optical and mechanical functionality. Fundamentals of both optical and mechanical metamaterials are discussed with a review of state‐of‐the‐art metamaterial science.

The non-self-adjointness of the radial momentum operator in n dimensions
The non self-adjointness of the radial momentum operator has been noted before by several authors, but the various proofs are incorrect. We give a rigorous proof that the $n$-dimensional radial momentum operator is not self- adjoint and has no self ...

Self-adjoint and non-self-adjoint extensions of symmetric q-Sturm-Liouville operators
Aspace of boundary values is constructed for minimal symmetric regular and singular q-Sturm- Liouville operators in limit-point and limit-circle cases. A description of all maximal dissipative, maximal accumulative, self-adjoint, and other extensions of such symmetric q-Sturm-Liouville operators is given in terms of boundary conditions.
