Duality for Evolutionary Equations With Applications to Null Controllability
ABSTRACT We study evolutionary equations in exponentially weighted L2$$ {\mathrm{L}}^2 $$‐spaces as introduced by Picard in 2009. First, for a given evolutionary equation, we explicitly describe the ν$$ \nu $$‐adjoint system, which turns out to describe a system backwards in time. We prove well‐posedness for the ν$$ \nu $$‐adjoint system. We then apply

Unboundedness of adjacency matrices of locally finite graphs
Given a locally finite simple graph so that its degree is not bounded, every self-adjoint realization of the adjacency matrix is unbounded from above. In this note we give an optimal condition to ensure it is also unbounded from below.

Mesh and Model Adaptivity for Multiscale Elastoplastic Models With Prandtl‐Reuss Type Material Laws
ABSTRACT Homogenization methods simulate heterogeneous materials like composites effectively, but high computational demands can offset their benefits. This work balances accuracy and efficiency by assessing model and discretization errors of the finite element method (FEM) through an adaptive numerical scheme.

Formally self-adjoint quasi-differential operators and boundary-value problems
We develop the machinery of boundary triplets for one-dimensional operators generated by formally self-adjoint quasi-differential expression of arbitrary order on a finite interval.

We perform a 1-parameter family of self-adjoint extensions characterized by the parameter $\omega_0$. This allows us to get generic boundary conditions for the quantum oscillator on $N$ dimensional complex projective space($\mathbb{C}P^N$) and on its non-

ABSTRACT This paper presents a robust control synthesis and analysis framework for nonlinear systems with uncertain initial conditions. First, a deep learning‐based lifting approach is proposed to approximate nonlinear dynamical systems with linear parameter‐varying (LPV) state‐space models in higher‐dimensional spaces while simultaneously ...

Multi-interval dissipative Sturm–Liouville boundary-value problems with distributional coefficients
The paper investigates spectral properties of multi-interval Sturm–Liouville operators with distributional coefficients. Constructive descriptions of all self-adjoint and maximal dissipative/accumulative extensions in terms of boundary conditions are ...

A Distributional Approach for the One-Dimensional Hydrogen Atom
We consider the one-dimensional Hydrogen atom, with the Coulomb interaction V(x)=γ|x| (γ < 0), and use Schwartz's theory of distributions to address the non-integrable singularity at the origin.

Geometry of quantum dynamics in infinite dimension
We develop a geometric approach to quantum mechanics based on the concept of the Tulczyjew triple. Our approach is genuinely infinite-dimensional and including a Lagrangian formalism in which self-adjoint (Schroedinger) operators are obtained as ...
