Etch-and-rinse vs self-etch mode for dentin bonding effectiveness of universal adhesives.

open access: yesJournal of Oral Science, 2019
In this study, dentin bond fatigue resistance and interfacial science characteristics of universal adhesives through etch-and-rinse and self-etch modes were investigated.

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Personality traits mediate the association between perceived parental bonding and well-being in adult volunteers from the community

open access: yesBioPsychoSocial Medicine, 2020
Background Previous studies reported that subjective well-being in adulthood correlates with perceived parental bonding in childhood as well as personality traits.

Maternal-fetal bonding during the COVID-19 pandemic

open access: yesBMC Pregnancy and Childbirth, 2021
Background The pregnant population experienced unique COVID-19 physical and psychosocial stressors such as direct health concerns related to the virus and loss of access to resources since the COVID-19 emerged as a global pandemic in early 2020.

A New Phenomenon: Sub-Tg, Solid-State, Plasticity-Induced Bonding in Polymers

open access: yes, 2015
Polymer self-adhesion due to the interdiffusion of macromolecules has been an active area of research for several decades [70, 43, 62, 42, 72, 73, 41]. Here, we report a new phenomenon of sub-Tg, solid-state, plasticity-induced bonding; where amorphous ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Reversible Self-Assembly of Supramolecular Vesicles and Nanofibers Driven by Chalcogen-Bonding Interactions.

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2018
Chalcogen-bonding interactions have been viewed as new non-covalent forces in supramolecular chemistry. However, harnessing chalcogen bonds to drive molecular self-assembly processes is still unexplored. Here we report for the first time a novel class of

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Bonding and Infants’ Development and Quality of Life: A Study Among Mothers with Severe Mental Illnesses in Remission

open access: yesIndian Journal of Psychological Medicine, 2023
Background: Maternal mental health has specific implications for bonding and infants’ mental health. However, most of the evidence comes from mothers who are either symptomatic or did not have adequate mental health support.

Role of the smear layer in adhesive dentistry and the clinical applications to improve bonding performance

open access: yesJapanese Dental Science Review, 2022
Currently, dental adhesives can be divided into two systems; a smear layer-removal approach with etch-and-rinse adhesives or a smear layer-modified approach with self-etching adhesives. After phosphoric acid etching, the smear layer is completely removed.
