Self-centered graphs with diameter 3

2022
Summary: A graph is called \(3\)-self-centered if all of its vertices have eccentricity 3. In this paper, we study some properties of the \(3\)-self-centered graphs, and investigate the \(3\)-self-centered graphs with girth six or seven. We determine the vertex connectivity and regularity of such graphs.

Seismic robustness of self‐centering braced frames suffering tendon failure

Earthquake engineering & structural dynamics (Print), 2021
This paper comprehensively discusses the behavior and failure risk of self‐centering braced frames suffering tendon fracture. The fundamental mechanism of tendon failure in self‐centering braces (SCBs) is first introduced, followed by the design and ...

Development and parametric study of a new self-centering rotational friction damper

, 2021
Rotational friction (RF) dampers are among the efficient energy-absorbing devices with nearly elasto-plastic behavior and stable hysteresis response. However, the lack of self-centering features might result in undesirable residual displacement for the ...

Self-centering companion spines with friction spring dampers: Validation test and direct displacement-based design

Engineering structures, 2021
This paper aims to propose self-centering companion spines with friction spring dampers (denoted as SCS) for obtaining better post-earthquake resilience in steel building structures.

A Novel Self-centering Braced Double-column Rocking Bent for Seismic Resilience

Journal of earthquake engineering, 2022
A novel self-centering braced double-column rocking bent (SBRB) consisting of a double-column rocking bent and traditional or self-centering energy dissipation braces is developed analytically and numerically to enhance the seismic resilience.

Seismic performance of self-centering precast segmental bridge columns under different lateral loading directions

Engineering structures, 2020
Self-centering precast segmental bridge columns (SC-PSBCs) have been intensively investigated in the past decade as one of prefabricated bridge components to expedite construction and improve seismic resilience.

Proportioning of self‐centering energy dissipative braces

Earthquake engineering & structural dynamics (Print), 2021
Self‐centering energy dissipative (SCED) braces are designed to limit the maximum story drifts in buildings during earthquakes and to nearly eliminate residual drifts.
