Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Modelling the flow of self‐compacting concrete

International Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, 2011
AbstractA Lagrangian particle‐based method, smooth particle hydrodynamics (SPH), is used in this paper to model the flow of self‐compacting concretes (SCC) with or without short steel fibres. An incompressible SPH method is presented to simulate the flow of such non‐Newtonian fluids whose behaviour is described by a Bingham‐type model, in which the ...

Fatigue lives of self-compacting concrete and self-compacting fibre-reinforced concrete beams

Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Construction Materials, 2013
This paper presents results of an investigation conducted to estimate the mean and design fatigue lives of self-compacting concrete and self-compacting fibre-reinforced concrete beams containing 0·5% volume fraction of steel fibres. Approximately 19 flexural fatigue tests and 90 complementary static flexural strength tests were conducted on self ...

Durability of Self-Compacting Concrete

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
Abstract. Self compacting concrete (SCC) seem to be a very promising materials for construction thanks to their properties in a fresh state. Studying of the influence of the parameters of specific designed mixes to their mechanical, physical and chemical characteristics in a state hardened is an important stage so that it can be useful for new-to-the ...
