Functionaries: A Distributional Approach to Institutional Analysis

open access: yesJournal for the Theory of Social Behaviour, Volume 56, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper outlines a distributional approach to institutional analysis, reconceptualising institutions as distributions of knowledge and activity across people. We argue that institutionalisation and institutional change are best understood by focussing on actors with the requisite knowledge and motivation to keep institutional patterns going,

Self-construal priming effects in visual communication design: İmplications for consumer and socially responsible behaviour

open access: yes, 2020
Geometric shapes are relevant to the way we perceive and describe the nature. In some instances, geometrical shapes are the simplest way of explaining an object or a thought. For instance, a circle drawn between the top of two triangles may help us describe the sunset and arouse the feeling of the warmth of the sun.

On the Quality of Relational Justice

open access: yesAnalytic Philosophy, Volume 67, Issue 1, Page 91-104, March 2026.
ABSTRACT By emphasising the role of concepts like social status, power and respect, all relational egalitarians seek to demonstrate that there is more to the political concept of equality than the distribution of goods. While there is a broad consensus on the nature of equality, however, the nature of justice is a matter of internal dispute. The aim of

Parsing Reward Processing Substages With Multimodal EEG–fMRI

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 3, February 15, 2026.
Reward processing is complex and parsing anticipatory from consummatory substages will develop a more specific taxonomy of neural motivation and pleasure systems. Our multimodal data indicate EEG–fMRI covariance linking reward feedback EEG measures to dACC‐striatal regions, while reward anticipation EEG measures covaried with motor planning and ...

A Meta‐Analysis on Stereotype Threat and Consumer‐Related Outcomes: Reconciling Evidence by Advancing Theory

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, Volume 43, Issue 2, Page 468-482, February 2026.
ABSTRACT This meta‐analysis examines whether stereotype threat (ST) influences consumer‐related outcomes—domains traditionally excluded from performance‐based ST research. Drawing on 247 effects from 83 experimental studies (N = 11,683), we found a marginal to small overall effect when comparing ST conditions to control groups.

Seeing the Closet or the Clothes: How Thinking Abstractly Versus Concretely Shapes Disposition Decisions

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, Volume 43, Issue 2, Page 431-444, February 2026.
ABSTRACT When consumers declutter, they face a difficult decision: whether to keep or get rid of products that they no longer use but that still function properly. Holding on to unused products for extended periods not only clutters living spaces but also undermines consumers' mental and financial well‐being. This study investigates thinking strategies

Attenuation of arsenic trioxide‐induced endothelial injury: unveiling the protective role of ginkgolic acid through inhibition of TRPM4 SUMOylation: Evidence from Raman cellular imaging

open access: yesVIEW, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
Inhibiting the SUMOylation modification of TRPM4 can prevent the vascular endothelial damage caused by ATO. Inhibition of TRPM4 SUMOylation, either pharmacologically by GA or genetically by the K618R mutation, protects against ATO‐induced vascular endothelial damage.

Exception From Informed Consent Community Consultation Surveys—Do Respondent Characteristics Accurately Reflect Targeted Communities?

open access: yesAcademic Emergency Medicine, Volume 33, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Community consultation (CC) is crucial for exception from informed consent (EFIC) trials. Digital marketing platforms offer a novel and efficient way to gather community input through surveys. This study aimed to determine if the demographics of digital CC survey respondents align with those of their targeted communities. Methods We
