We construct static and time-dependent exact soliton solutions with non-trivial Hopf topological charge for a field theory in 3+1 dimensions with the target space being the two dimensional sphere S**2. The model considered is a reduction of the so-called

Noncommutative Self-dual Gravity [PDF]
Starting from a self-dual formulation of gravity, we obtain a noncommutative theory of pure Einstein theory in four dimensions. In order to do that, we use Seiberg-Witten map.

Self-dual codes are important because many of the best codes known are of this type and they have a rich mathematical theory. Topics covered in this survey include codes over F_2, F_3, F_4, F_q, Z_4, Z_m, shadow codes, weight enumerators, Gleason-Pierce ...

Self-dual supergravities [PDF]
The N-extended supersymmetric self-dual Poincar supergravity equations provide a natural local description of supermanifolds possessing hyperk hler structure. These equations admit an economical formulation in chiral superspace. A reformulation in harmonic superspace encodes self-dual supervielbeins and superconnections in a graded skew-symmetric ...

Self-dual quasiperiodic percolation
17 pages (17 figures) + 3 appendices (6 figures, 3 tables). v3 revisions: integrated supplement into main text; added analysis of a second quasiperiodic model, determination of fractal dimension of hulls, and investigation of universality; revised estimates of $D_f$ and $\nu$ for original model using nominally infinite methods; removed discussion of ...

Self-dual gravity is a diffeomorphism invariant theory in four dimensions that describes two propagating polarisations of the graviton and has a negative mass dimension coupling constant. Nevertheless, this theory is not only renormalisable but quantum finite, as we explain.

Self-dual metrics with self-dual Killing vectors
Twistor methods are used to derive a class of solutions to Einstein’s vacuum equations, with anti-self-dual Weyl tensor. In particular, all metrics with a Killing vector whose derivative is anti-self-dual and which admit a real positive-definite section are exhibited and shown to coincide with the metrics of Hawking (Phys. Lett. A 60, 81 (1977)).

In this paper, we investigate self-dual double circulant, and self-dual and linear complementary dual (LCD) double negacirculant codes over a finite ring $R = \mathbb F_{q} + u \mathbb F_{q} + v \mathbb F_{q} + uv\mathbb F_{q}$ , where $u^{2}=u$ , $v^{
