Protein‐Polymer Dynamic Hydrogels Utilizing Native Ligand Binding for Injectable Therapeutic Delivery and 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Dynamic nanocolloidal hydrogels were synthesized via the co‐assembly of ligand‐modified spheroidal hyperbranched poly(glycerol) (HPG) and soluble albumin nanoparticles (SANs). Co‐assembly occurred through self‐association of the HPG, as well as its interaction with SANs via native ligand binding.

Error correcting codes and heterotic Narain CFTs

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study error correcting codes that construct the Narain lattices of heterotic strings as code lattices. We identify, in both E 8 × E 8 and Spin(32)/ℤ2 heterotic strings, a pair of a binary code and a set of the corresponding metric, B field, and ...

An Antimicrobial, Cell‐Adhesive, and Growth Factor‐Producing Living Material Engineered From Bacillus subtilis Biofilms for Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Bacillus subtilis is engineered to produce cell‐adhesive biofilms by functionalization of its biofilm scaffold protein TasA with a cell‐adhesion sequence. Living bacteria within the biofilm are also engineered to secrete growth factors and natively produce antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), resulting in a cell‐adhesive, antimicrobial, and growth factor ...

Holographic duality from Howe duality: Chern-Simons gravity as an ensemble of code CFTs

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We discuss the holographic correspondence between 3d “Chern-Simons gravity” and an ensemble of 2d Narain code CFTs. Starting from 3d abelian Chern-Simons theory, we construct an ensemble of boundary CFTs defined by gauging all possible maximal subgroups ...

Alaska Criminal Code Revision — Tentative Draft, Part 1: Offenses against the Person [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
As of 1975, Alaska’s criminal laws were based primarily on Oregon criminal statutes as they existed at the close of the nineteenth century, with new statutes added and old statutes amended over the succeeding 75 years by Alaska territorial and state ...

Lignin Mimicking Protein Methylation Augments the Efficacy of FOLFOX Chemotherapy by Anchoring Thymidylate Synthase

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Lignin‐mimicking protein methylation can enhance the efficacy and mitigate the toxicity of the classic FOLFOX chemotherapy regimen. ABSTRACT FOLFOX has served as the standard chemotherapy regimen for advanced stages, specifically in the treatment of pancreatic, colorectal, and bladder cancers.

n‐Type Polymer Radio Frequency Rectifiers Operating at 18.5 GHz

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Combining an n‐doped polymer semiconductor with wafer‐scale asymmetric planar electrodes featuring work function‐engineered contacts yields radio‐frequency diodes and rectifying circuits operating at up to 18.5 GHz. The devices combine scalable manufacturing with an operating frequency previously unattainable by large‐area organic electronics ...

Code construction and ensemble holography of simply-laced WZW models at level 1

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We introduce a code construction for Wess-Zumino-Witten (WZW) models associated with simply-laced affine Lie algebras at level 1. The chiral primary fields of these rational CFTs can be parametrized by the elements of the outer automorphism group of the ...
