Objective The aim of this study was to determine the differences in demographic, serologic, and clinical characteristics between male and female patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) in an Australian cohort. Methods This was a retrospective observational study using data from the Australian Scleroderma Cohort Study.

A Note on New Near-Extremal Type I
The subject of this work is self-dual Type I Z4-codes of length 48. It is known that the usual upper bound for the minimum Euclidean weight for the self-dual Z4-codes cannot be achieved for this length and type of codes; i.e., extremal Type I Z4-codes of

An upper bound for self-dual codes
Gleason has described the general form that the weight distribution of a self-dual code over GF(2) and GF(3) can have. We give an explicit formula for this weight distribution when the minimum distance d between codewords is made as large as possible. It follows that for self-dual codes of length n over GF(2) with all weights divisible by 4, d ⩽ 4[n/24]

Objective This study aimed to describe real‐world trends in preconception and prenatal use of antirheumatic drugs among pregnant individuals with rheumatic diseases in Ontario, Canada. Methods We conducted a time‐series analysis using repeated cross‐sectional data to examine annual patterns of disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) use among ...

Self-dual codes are important because many of the best codes known are of this type and they have a rich mathematical theory. Topics covered in this survey include codes over F_2, F_3, F_4, F_q, Z_4, Z_m, shadow codes, weight enumerators, Gleason-Pierce theorem, invariant theory, Gleason theorems, bounds, mass formulae, enumeration, extremal codes ...

Near‐Field Electrospinning Micro‐Printhead Achieves Precise Control of Nanofiber Deposition
A micro‐printhead for near‐field electrospinning enables reproducible deposition of polymer nanofibers with diameters below 50 nm. Systematic parameter studies uncover the mechanisms linking operating conditions to fiber morphology, paving the way for precise and low‐cost nanoscale 3D manufacturing. As a high‐resolution, cost‐effective, and rapid ...

Self-Dual and LCD Codes from Kneser Graphs K(n, 2) and Generalized Quadrangles
In this paper, we study self-dual and LCD codes constructed from Kneser graphs K(n, 2) and collinearity graphs of generalized quadrangles using the so-called pure and bordered construction. We determine conditions under which these codes are self-dual or

Results on zeta functions for codes
We give a new and short proof of the Mallows-Sloane upper bound for self-dual codes. We formulate a version of Greene's theorem for normalized weight enumerators. We relate normalized rank-generating polynomials to two-variable zeta functions.
