A Self‐Healing Permanent Magnet Putty for Soft Robot Skins With Force Sensing and Functional Recovery

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Permanent magnet putty (PMP) integrates high‐coercivity NdFeB particles with a dynamic polyborosiloxane–Ecoflex matrix, achieving rapid self‐healing (90% mechanical recovery in 10 s) and magnetic recovery within 20 min. With twice the sensitivity of commercial putties, PMP enables precise 5–30 N force detection and discrimination between pressing and ...

Application of Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis Technology in Ultrasonic Oscillation Circuit

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2011
In view of the problem that output frequency of traditional ultrasonic oscillation circuit is unstable because of using analog or digital self-excited oscillator, the paper proposed a design scheme of ultrasonic oscillation circuit based on direct ...

SELF-EXCITED OSCILLATION OF FLAPGATE AND NAPPE

open access: yesDoboku Gakkai Ronbunshu, 1985
Self-excited oscillations of flapgate are obseved in many intake structures such as weirs and dams. Recently this phenomenon occures in rubber dam which is made by fiexible rubber sheets. This oscillation has been analised partly about ten years ago by author.

Numerical Modeling of Photothermal Self‐Excited Composite Oscillators

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
We present a numerical framework for simulating photothermal self‐excited oscillations. The driving mechanism is elucidated by highlighting the roles of inertia and overshoot, as well as the phase lag between the thermal moment and the oscillation angle, which together construct the feedback loop between the system state and the environmental stimulus.

Design and Modeling of a High‐Displacement, Skin‐Integrated Flexible Electromagnetic Actuator for Haptic Interfaces in Virtual Reality

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A flexible, skin‐integrated electromagnetic actuator is developed for wearable virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) haptic systems. A tunable design model enables control over displacement and resonance frequency. The system is validated through a custom VR application with a 6 × 4 actuator array, demonstrating real‐time, spatially targeted tactile ...

Stochastic regimes in very-low-frequency fluidic oscillator

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
Paper discusses interesting unexpected stochastic regimes discovered in a fluidic oscillator designed for operation at very low oscillation frequencies - without the inconvenience of the long feedback loops needed in standard low-frequency oscillator ...

Control Method for Elimination of Self–Excited Oscillations during Turning

open access: yes, 2010
The oscillations occurring between the tool and the machined area during the turning process lead to degradation of the machined surface, cause poor geometric accuracy, accelerate tool wear and generate noise.
